We closed this month with a good bit o’ fun, and some cream on my face.
Don’t be gross.
I’m talking about whipped cream. More on that later…
Every month, I give my followers an inside look at my personal and business life.
My goal is to transparently show you the internet marketing lifestyle and all of it’s perks and struggles.
As always, there’s lots to report.
My coaching (contact me here) has taken off more than ever. Couple of badass product launches on JvZoo made this a good affiliate earning month. And Amazon is in the middle of the Holiday stretch, which also leads to a good ol’ chunk a change.
HOWEVER
While on the theme of getting it on the face…
I got punched in the face on YouTube.
It’s still hurting a bit, but I have plans for my recovery.
Go quick! Make sure you grab a pen and paper.
Even though this is an income report, there’s still a few bits of wisdom to keep for your marketing.
What I’ll be sharing:
- Traffic Stats
- What I Did this Month
- How Much Money I Made
- What I’m Planning for the Future
An Insiders Look at the Traffic Numbers — The YouTube Left Hook
A video that receives 25,000+ views per month was removed.
My Twitter strategy to get real twitter followers is no more.
There has been no explanation for why this video was taken down, but it certainly will be affecting my YouTube traffic stats.
A normal YouTube month is about 100,000 views. So I will be expecting a small decline in the traffic numbers in future months.
I already have plans for my recovery, which I’ll be discussing below.
For now, here are the YouTube #’s
OUCH!
See that views drop off?
I’ll share my recovery plans later in this post.
For now, let’s move to the blog #’s
Fairly steady. My blog continues to be a good source of free leads into my funnel.
I am not a pro blogger yet, and in fact I still am unsure how to build this further.
If you have any blogging suggestions, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comment section.
Overall, I’m satisfied with my organic reach.
My YouTube + blog traffic was on a steady incline for months. The 200k+ video getting taken down was a bummer — I’ll be back tho!
What I Got Myself into This Month
Living in Medellin, Colombia. It’s hard to stop the party.
There’s always something happening here. And the people love it.
Drinks are constant.
On Sundays, this city actually shuts down main roads to clear walking lanes.
Instead of traffic, local Colombians litter the streets for free Zumba classes and casual strolls.
This Colombian emphasis on life and enjoyment is refreshing.
There’s loads of attractive places to go and see in the world.
Medellin is one place that you absolutely must put on the bucket list.
What About Marketing?
This time of year is awesome for affiliate promotions.
It’s typical for lots of top notch products to launch just before xmas. And this year is no exception.
The one I promoted the hardest was called Build My List 2.0 (still available)
For this promotion, I gave away THIRTEEN bonuses.
I figured that BML 2.0 was worth the price already, I’d make it even easier for people to scoop it up.
And yes, I got a good chunk of change for this promotion.
To top it off, BML 2.0 is a game changing course.
I felt good recommending it.
How’s Coaching Going so Far?
You’re going to see in the income earnings below that coaching is becoming a mainstay.
An average week has about four coaching appointments.
These sessions are a blast.
I love talking about marketing. And with the number of clients I’ve trained, I’ve got the whole step-by-step process nailed down to a science.
By the time a student finishes just two sessions, they have a landing page that converts over 50%, a free installation of WP Profit Builder and a back-end funnel that prints money on demand. This guidance regularly converts ordinary wantrapreneurs into marketers with $2-6k+/month funnels.
Unfortunately, I can’t accept everybody into my coaching because I choose to limit these appointments to only five per week max. Any more than that, and I wouldn’t enjoy them as much as I do now.

What About YouTube and the Big Bad Blog?
First off, the blog is not a huge traffic source for me. As much as I love blogging, I really haven’t figured out a way to turn this medium into a more viral source.
If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear your advice in the comments below.
Including last month’s income report, I created four blog posts in November.
There was a bit of pressure in these posts. And that was intentional.
The post on The Lazy Man’s Guide to Starting a Website made the bold claim that nobody makes money without one.
A website that is… And you may disagree with me on this, but I challenge you to come up with a single example to the contrary.
I’ve been in this industry over eight years, and I have never heard of even one.
I continued this schpeel in the post Why You FAIL to Make Money Online
… Jesus!
I am getting harsh in my older age.
This pressure is necessary. I get loads of messages every day from followers asking for advice.
I’m astonished by how many haven’t created a website yet.
If you’re confused by this process, contact me here and I will help.
The YouTube channel wasn’t touched this month.
I do have plans for this, which I’ll discuss in the next section.

Let’s do the final calculations. <– Nerd alert!
$5,556.65 – $532
Grand Total = $5,024.65
If you take a look at last month’s income report, you’ll notice that this month was almost a thousand dollars higher. That’s a pretty nice increase, if you ask me.
The Amazon affiliate earnings are always awesome during the Holiday stretch.
To learn how to create an Amazon site, watch this video.
The easiest and most consistent income I earn is through list building.
If you’re just starting out, it’s best to start there.
The coaching is my highest earner on the list. This was just introduced two months ago, and it looks to be a mainstay for the near future. I expect my coaching to increase even further once I increase my rate.
If you want to lock in the lowest possible price for my coaching, contact me here while it’s still on the cheap.
Future GamePlan — How to Grow From Here
My next step is to grow my organic reach.
I’ve been told from successful marketers, that when you double your traffic, your earnings don’t just double.
They actually explode more than that.
The key to selling digital products is being an authority. Moreso than physical products (which largely sell themselves) an informational blueprint is sold mostly based on trust.
That means that I will continue to grow my YouTube channel and blog.
The next video for my channel is on The EASY Way to Create a WordPress Site from Scratch
You’ll notice I’ve taken a sharp focus on website building lately.
Hey, it’s the first step and it needs to be covered.
After that, I’ll be working on a new video series about becoming a digital nomad.
I’ve already created my YouTube thumbnail.
See here:
Now, I just need to create the video.
I’m excited about this next series. It’s easily one of my favourite topics of all time.
In the last year, I’ve travelled to:
- The Okanagan
- Harrison Hot Springs
- Vancouver
- Las Vegas
- Cuba
- San Andres Island
- Colombia
And on February 2nd, 2016, I’ll be moving to Thailand for the near future.
Tix are already booked!
I love travelling the world while marketing.
That’s the benefit of owning a business that needs just 10 mins/day to maintain.
It’s easy see and do what you want.
Getting Cream on My Face — The Cupcake that Started a War
A colombian teenage girl was selling cupcakes for a local charity.
I bought some (which were delicious, btw).
After a late night partying in Medellin, we came home and Caitlyn tossed one at my face.
Don’t ask me how I happened. It’s all a blur.
Here’s a pic:
One thing I do know though…
Don’t mess with Brendan when there’s a food fight involved.
It was a lot of fun. I don’t regret my actions.
I do wish I had more of those cupcakes, though 🙂
Wrapping it Up!
As per usual, me and Caitlyn are off to enjoy cocktails in the sun.
If you have any questions about this months income report, do not hesitate to drop a line or two in the comments.
This stuff is fun to talk about.
