Twitter links provide social signals that improve website rankings. Which means that a strong social profile has the capacity to improve search engine rankings for any site, at will.

… But that’s not the only benefit. Twitter can also bring in loads of traffic.
The 140K profile I’m referring to regularly gets 500-1000+ retweets of each Tweet. Post 10 times a day, and you’ve got around 5,000-10,000 retweets of links of your choosing.
