How I Earn Over $5,000/month while Travelling the World

December 24, 2015 by Brendan Mace 2 Comments

This post actually reveals my main tricks for building a 5k/month business.

I’m serious.

It even includes the #1 secret to automating 90% of your tasks (more on this later…)

In the last nine months, I’ve been to:

  • Cuba
  • The Okangan
  • Las Vegas
  • Los Angelos
  • San Andres Island
  • Medellin

To top things off, we have tickets printed for Panama City next week, and Thailand the following month.

Believe me, we are going to travel everywhere.

Here’s a pic of us partying in Medellin

Traveling is not cheap. In order to live this lifestyle, you need to be making money online.

In this post, you’ll learn how to set up a $5k/month business on near autopilot.

Where Does the Money Come From?

You’d probably expect the $5,000+ to come all from one source.

That’s not really the way it works.

I like to put my eggs in many baskets. Which means a few affiliate networks, adsense payments and coaching.

To name a few…

Here’s JvZoo:

Here’s WarriorPlus:

And the rest:

Coaching payments are sent directly through PayPal.

I teach people how to do this for themselves. Usually these coaching leads are discovered through my autoresponder series, but sometimes I get a student from this blog.

If you want to join my coaching, contact me here.

Coaching nets me about $1,500 per month (November was $1,800)

Adsense payments come in monthly. I’m not allowed to discuss the numbers on this one, but I usually receive around $800-1,000 from this income source.

Part of this Adsense income is from niche sites, but most is generated from my YouTube channel.

Other Sales:

You get the point — there’s a bunch of other sources.

Instead of writing them all out, let’s drop a screen shot from last month’s income report.

When you add all these sources together, I ended up making $5,556.65

Today, that’s about an average month.

By next year, I plan on having my numbers double.

There is a difference, however, between “hoping” something will happen, and making it so.

The beautiful thing about this business is I know what works.

In my youth, I would waste months into methods that were as fruitful as getting Dad to play PlayStation.

The results were minimal and painful to watch.

So what works — let’s break it down

List building may appear complicated, but trust me, it’s not.

That being said, in my last blog post, I talked about the 4 lies of marketing. Saying that marketing “is easy” was lie #1. I’ll let you read the rest of this post, and decide for yourself.

The whole shebang can be broken down into three parts.

I created a blog post about the four lies of marketing. Saying marketing it easy was #1. So I’ll let you watch the video and decide for yourself.

I think it’s easy. But I’ve been doing it eight years.

It’s a three part process.

Part 1) Create a Lead Capture Page

My squeeze page converts at 56% on average. The industry average is around 40%

Why is having a high converting squeeze page important?

Creating a marketing funnel is like blowing money down a watering hose.

If there’s a leak in any part of the hose, money will fall out before it reaches the end, and you will be left with a faulty watering hose.

You may be asking yourself at this point. Why did I make this an analogy about a watering hose, when I could have just used a funnel?

Let’s move on.

Part 2) Set Up an Instant Offer

By definition, an instant offer is something shown immediately after a subscriber opt-in.

A lot of people make the mistake at this point of giving away a freebie.

Usually in the form of an ebook.

This is a mistake because a freebie ebook is not going to make you money.

And nobody wants an ebook anymore. We’ve all downloaded them a bunch of times before. Skimmed through them for a minute or two, and then stash them away for future reading.

Ebooks have one function, and one function only. To collect digital dust.

Your better option is to have an instant offer that will make you money.

To get traffic in the first place, we’re probably going to pay for it.

That means that we’ll go broke unless we get money back. The instant offer gives us this opportunity.

Contrary to popular opinion, the best instant offer is cheap.

When people subscribe for the first time, they don’t know squat about you. Why would they buy a $200 product from you?

They wouldn’t.

That’s why we start small to get the ball rolling

A good instant offer is between $7.00-$27.00

It can (and should) have upsells, though. Some of which may even be expensive. And that’s okay. As long as you start small and move bigger.

Part 3) The Email Series

This is your opportunity to make it big.

Don’t just scam people. That may make you a dollar or two in the short term. But if you actually want to build a sustainable business online, people have to want your emails.

My emails average a 7% open rate.

Sounds small, but it’s actually quite significantly above the industry average.

That’s because many people actually want to get my emails.

I’ve optimized my email series so that people expect and want to hear from me.

You can do the exact same thing. You just need to create emails that build goodwill and engagement with your subscribers.

What’s the Next Step

There’s only three parts to this funnel. Or Watering hose. Whatever you want to call it.

I can tell you that this works.

I’ve been marketing for the last eight years. My focus has been on list building in the last two. And the results in this area (for me) have been easier and faster to attain.

My results are mostly from my email funnel. And you can do this two.

You have two options.

1) Go it Alone

There’s no shame in doing this by yourself. It may take you a few months of grinding out what actually works. And learning from failing and tweaking until you build it yourself.

It’s possible to do. This video gave you the basic outline of how to create this for yourself.

If you choose this option, ask me any question you want any time. You’ll notice that I answer questions from my followers all the time. It’s rare for me to not reply to a comment or email, and if I do so, it’s most likely because I missed it.

2) Get Coaching by Someone Already Doing the Thing

I can help you set this up.

I have limited spots, for this business. But I do take on students and teach them step-by-step everything I know about creating a funnel. By the time we’re done, students literally know everything I know.

For this level of training, you can fill out an application and get back to you within 48 hours.

Hope you liked the post.

Cheers!
