Driving down main street on Koh Samui Island.
Breeze whistling through my hair.
Beautiful, I thought…
… UNTIL I CRASHED INTO A BUS!
Now I’m nursing a bruise the size of a coconut,
and seeing a bill that reads 45,000 baht.
Talk about an interesting February.
In this income report, I’ll be covering 4 things:
- February Traffic Stats
- My Thailand Travels
- The Income Digits
- Future Plans + Adventures
An insiders look at the traffic numbers — Drops from Tops
This month saw a little decline.
Not pressing the panic button yet…
There’s two main reasons.
- February is a short month
- I was in Thailand
here’s the YouTube stats:
I have launch plans for a new video (more on this later…)
Expecting good YouTube #’s in March.
Let’s take a look at the blog stats:
These numbers are consistent with last month’s.
Which makes sense. I only wrote a couple posts in Feb.
The first post might have been unsettling and less predictable.
I brought up the inconvenient truth about niche sites.
Irony, because it’s the business that started my brand.
For years I’ve been rambling about niche sites. I even still have a bunch that roll in some nice and fat commissions.
So why rant about them?
The reality is that niche sites have changed. Or rather, in order to employ them successfully, you need to create them in a different way.
Small micro sites are no longer profitable.
Anyone who tells you otherwise is either lying to you, or hasn’t practiced their own preach.
Take a read here about what a good niche site looks like today.
The next blog post this month talked about selling.
It featured the charming and dreamy Leonardo Dicaprio, and pin-pointed my exact strategy for selling anything to the right person.
I make it clear in this post that selling anything “to anybody” is simple false.
There’s sales prophets that make audacious claims.
Nope, you are not going to sell marijuana to a Catholic Kindergarten teacher. If you can do that, I’d be impressed. Even still, the promise would be to sell to any and all teachers. That’s an impossible feat, even for Leo.
Clearly, the better option is to qualify who’s interested.
And then cultivate that interest into easy sales.
Why work against the grain when you don’t have to?
Anywho, I loved writing this post. And even plan to turn it into a video. Regardless of how well received it is on my YouTube channel. Selling is a passion of mine.
The Trip to Thailandia — From Crash to Bungalos
In last month’s income report, I brought up my ravage anticipation.
Thailand is a destination I’ve fantasized about for years.
It’s always strange how your expectations of a place clash with reality.
I could not expect what I saw this past month. Instead of contriving your own preconceived notions of this tourist dreamland, you should see it for yourself.
Everything is CHEAP. We stayed in shack bungalows for about $20 USD/night.
That was actually a little on the luxury side.
Entitled us to pools, internet, showers, air-conditioning, etc.
Of course, the beach is where we spent most of our time.
Travelling is a hell of a drug.
The Crash that Started it All
Within 48 hours of landing, we rented a motorbike and CRASHED.
Luckily, my beautiful girlfriend was not along for the ride.
This is a picture about 5 minutes from the accident.
Happy and unawares of my fate.
The crash ended up setting me back 45,000 baht.
That works out to be about $1,500.
A good sized dent into the earnings this month. You could live an entire month in Thailand on that income — easily.
The important thing is no one was hurt.
The Thailand bus driver was friendly and understanding. I have no idea what the real cost of reparations were, but I was glad to get it over with. And if he took a small cut for himself, I wouldn’t have minded anyways.
The Moral of the Story — For Next Time
Never try a never-done-before skill in a dangerous new place.
Koh Samui Island has 20 vehicle fatalities per day.
Mostly from inexperienced, unskilled tourists — Like myself.
It was fun while it lasted, though.
Some Pics of Our Travels
Our nightly hang out before sunset.
We enjoyed grabbing a couple beers from a 7-11, and then strolling down to the beach.
In the after hours, the beach is left mostly uninhabited.
Here’s Caitlyn taking a late night dip:
Check out the water.
That’s what I’m looking at…
The rest of the day was mainly a lounging kind of vibe.
There’s hammocks everywhere, and cool people to talk to.
Koh Tao Island was probably our favourite, but another great option was a little guy named Koh Phagnan.
Most people go to Koh Phagnan for the Full Moon Party.
That’s not really our jam.
Instead, we drove to the other side, and found spacious beaches allotted to a few lucky tourists.
A normal day was: hammock + Swim. Repeat!
Hope you enjoyed the pics.
Let’s move on to business.

A welcome drop off from last month’s #’s.
Sure, breaking $10k was cool.
The reality is I spent the last month on (or near) a beach.
That means internet was non-existent at times. It also means I took on less coaching clients than I normally would.
The main difference in income this month is the consultation earnings.
I’m still coaching people up to $5k+/month.
However, I have tightened the doors a little bit. Which means I am not accepting anyone and everyone into the program.
If I think you’re a good fit, I’ll be happy have you on my team.
Future Plans + Adventures — Cambodia, Vietnam and an Experiment
Currently writing this from Cambodia.
You’ll hear all about it in next month’s income report. Expect to see some pics of AngKor Wat.
You may be asking…
AngKor Wat is the largest religious building in the world.
The location is in Siam Reap, Cambodia. Which is my current home.
I’ll tell ya all about it next month.
The next destination is Vietnam. We have plans to see the coast, and main city areas.
I’m even flirting with the idea of riding another motorcycle. You can buy one here for $300 USD.
On the other hand, I crashed within minutes last time. So I may just stick to public transit.
Markting plans?
Purchased about 15 solo ads at 100 click each.
Going to release a YouTube video sharing my experience and business numbers.
It will include:
- My GamePlan
- Results from Solos
- What Worked/Flopped
I think this experiment would be helpful to my audience.
They would get to see exactly my thought process during a funnel set up. And then see my reaction to the numbers returned.
Of course, the goal is to make a profit in the experiment.
Results will be posted in either case. I’m always transparent. While I expect to make money, I will share no matter what happens.
I’m excited to create it, and share with you guys.
Wrapping Up — Back to Work
In all honesty, I did almost no marketing this month.
Hard to concentrate when there’s a world class beach just outside your doorway.
While Cambodia and Vietnam are as beautiful for different reasons, there will be more team to continue progress.
Internet has been great here. And I’m opening up to more coaching clients than last month.
Hope you enjoyed the report. Let me know in the feedback below.
Cheers!
