Paradise costs 50 bucks per day.
That’s it.
Matt Kepnes wrote the nomad’s bible: How to Travel the World on $50 a day
Imagine what you could do with $150 per day.
My latest YouTube video shows you how to do exactly that. (more on this later…)
In this Income Report, I’ll be covering 4 things:
- December Traffic stats
- Our vacation destination this month
- How much money I made
- What I’m planning for the future
An insiders look at the traffic numbers — The YouTube Comeback
Last month, I lost a video that got 25,000+ views per month.
That’s almost 1,000 views per day gone.
It sucked.
My views immediately plummeted from ~3,400 per day to ~2,500.
The comeback plan is working. I launched two videos this month, and one is on a meteoric rise to becoming my best video yet (traffic and quality-wise).
Here’s the YouTube stats:
Ignore the dips.
The traffic goes down for Xmas and New Years Eve.
Not only is that expected — it’s welcomed.
I’m always happy to see that people are taking a time out for family time.
The part that excites me the most is December 26th-30th.
I released a new video after Xmas about making $5,000 EACH month while travelling the world.
YouTube sent me this message about it:
Pretty damn cool.
It’s a great video with a high retention rate. Which is why it’s become well received on YouTube.
Take a look for yourself:
The success of this video is encouraging. Since its release, applications for my coaching have come flooding. Any time you can turn an exciting idea into a realistic possibility — People will notice.
Making $5,000/month is a huge milestone for marketers (myself included). Following Matt’s $50 per day advice, this kind of money is all you need for personal and financial freedom.
The even better news is that reaching this milestone is easy.
It only takes me 5-15 minutes per day to reach those numbers. And I’m probably one of the more lazy marketers you’ll meet online.
Continuous imperfect action is all you need to become a full-time online marketer.
What about the big bad blog?
Look familiar?
These stats are pretty consistent on every income report.
I don’t pretend to be a master blogger.
The reality is that this blog contributes almost nothing to the bottom line.
In a way, that’s good news for YOU.
I tell students every day, you don’t need a blog or YouTube channel to make a full-time income.
There’s loads of marketers that have reached the 5k/month mark, and most of them do not have a mainstream blog.
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING!
If you want to build a blog from scratch — do it.
My advice would be to not make it your main focus, unless you plan on treating it like a business.
I support the 80/20 rule in business.
Which means that you should spend 80% of your time on the stuff that’s actually working. The other 20%, you can invest in non-earning enterprises. Either to explore new potential income streams, or just to have some fun.
In my opinion, you can actually get better returns on creating videos over blog posts.
Think about it — the average internet user spends over 60% of his time on video.
On top of that, there’s way more posts on the web than videos. That means that less videos are getting MORE traffic. In obvious “supply and demand” terms, video is an awesome opportunity.
Learning how to grow a YouTube channel will pay dividends for you. I can attribute about 2k/month of my earnings from YouTube.
If I were to start all over again, I’d spend more of my time on YouTube a hell of a lot sooner.
Our vacation this month — Panama City, Panama (an important distinction)
There’s such a thing as Panama City, FLORIDA.
Who knew?
We do now.
While booking our trip to Panama City, Panama. We had all the plans to go mini golfing, Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum, Panama City Beach, etc.
All of these attractions are ONLY available in Florida.
Even including Panama City Beach. We first found out about this while in our arrival taxi to the hotel, that Panama City does not have a single beach for travellers. I guess pollution and the Panama City Canal has made the water too contaminated for swimming.
Always do your research people!!
Still, Panama City had some beautiful views, like this one:
Lots of development in Panama City.
Great for Skyscrapers and a hot climate — you’ll have a fun adventure.
Our personal favourite place in Panama was the “Old City”
The original heart of the city before America came in and industrialized EVERYTHING.
You can get a little taste here:
Would not make our Top 5 Places list.
Worth a look. I have friends that swear Panama is beautiful.
We’re more excited for Thailand on February 2nd.

$7,038.80 – $248
Grand Total = $6,790.80
If you take a look at last month’s income report, you’ll notice this month is almost two grand higher. I must be happy, right?
Yeah, for the most part.
One thing to keep in mind here is that the Holidays are always a good month for Amazon. You can expect to get 5-10X higher earnings during this month than a typical month during the year.
I started creating more tutorials on creating a website for two reasons.
- You need one or you’ll fail miserably.
- Hosting commissions are lucrative
Hostgator pays up to $125 per commission for a hosting order. The other companies, like BlueHost and JustHost offer similar incentives to hosting affiliates.
I choose to promote HostGator because it’s my favourite cheap web host. Customer service has always been stellar, and control panel is uber easy to use.
It’s nice to see that more hosting commissions are coming in as a result of these tutorials.
It’s also nice to be a part of your journey.
Creating a website is the first step to virtually any online business.
Here’s what I like to call the Ultimate Guide to Creating a Website (52 Minutes)
While it hasn’t gained a lot of traction yet in the YouTube world, it’s an awesome video filled with just about all my knowledge when it comes to website creation.
This will get you from ZERO to ONE HUNDRED in 52 minutes flat.
When you get some time, watch this video and implement its teachings.
You need a website to make money online. There’s no way around that. This tutorial will make it easier, and give you peace of mind.
Future GamePlan — How to Grow from Here
Lots of plans on the horizon.
I created a coaching application form.
Really been saving me a ton of hassle and separating the right clients from the wrong ones.
I don’t like to mess around with this stuff anymore. If you want to learn how to create a $3k/month income stream, then get a mentor.
Or, you can figure this stuff all out yourself. Either option is viable. When I started, I chose to do everything by myself. If I could go back in time, I would have gotten a mentor on Day 1.
Would have made me thousands of dollars in the long run. I would have broken 5k/month A LOT sooner.
The major benefit of this form is that I can tell right away whether or not it’s a good fit.
If I accept you into my program, we immediately learn step-by-step the whole business.
I tell every new student the same thing, once you’re done coaching, you will know absolutely everything that I know to make $5k/month. With great power comes great responsibility. You can make this happen if you’re ready to take the right action.
My YouTube channel will also be getting hit up.
I created two videos in December. I’d like to see that number remain constant.
My goal is to create at least two videos per month for all of 2016.
YouTube is an awesome opportunity, and I plan on leveraging its power to continue brand building.
What would you like to see from me?
The main purpose of my creations is to serve you — the reader.
Any and all suggestions would be warmly welcomed.
Leave a comment on this post, and let me know what you’d like to see in future updates.
Let’s make 2016 a kickass year.
Wrap Up
End of year reflections are always a bit eery for me.
It’s almost impossible not to think about what you did, and what you want to do in the future.
For me, the best things I’ve done are online marketing and travelling.
My online business is necessary for survival. Even though it only takes about 15 minutes of my day, it gives me enough money to pay bills and then some.
On the flip side of the coin, seeing the world has lead to the happiest version of myself. You start letting go of past stresses, and enjoy the diversity that our earth has to offer.
Routines are boring. They prevent growth. There’s no better way to become a better person than to fuck up your world with change. And I mean “fuck” in the most positive way.
Don’t repeat 2015 this year. Do something new that excites you!
